25 Things
1. I am very curious who reads my blog.
2. I have always had animals in my life, from my very first dog, Bandit, who we couldn't control, and he wasn't able to be around us kids. He was a dalmatian, and they are notoriously territorial, and really bad around children. One day he just ran away and we didn't try to get him back. I think he went on to live a better life with adults around him. Since then I've always had animals in my life. It helps to learn how to deal with death from an early age.
3. When I am stressed and upset, the first thing to go is food, which has caused a 20 pound weight loss in the past 4 months. I'm ok being a size 00 but I can't really start dressing in the kid's section.
4. I am more concerned about experiences than things.
5. I have been very lucky to have travel be a big part of my life, and have made some wonderful friends along the way. I'm also very happy that I chose to live overseas for two years, and feel like it was a great part of making me who I am today. I will travel again soon.
6. My dreams are vivid and sometimes scary, but mostly they make me realize more and more what it is that I want.
7. My most loathsome activity is going to the gas station. I want an electric car so I never have to do that again.
8. I love to cook and make a mean chicken soup but nobody has had it yet except me.
9. If you know me very well, you know that I love tacos, can't wear earrings because I'm deathly allergic, hate onions, and love lemons. I remember getting a cake for my birthday one year from a good friend and it was lemon flavored and I knew she knew me well.
10. I am slightly bad at math even though I technically work for a math company.
11. I look at where I was personally a year ago, and realize how much I've grown and changed. I'm pretty happy with who I am right now.
12. I cry over films and TV all the time. I keep on my PS3 the episode of the Big C where the son finds the garage full of gifts his mom won't be able to give him because she's dying of cancer and he breaks down, and I watch it and cry all the time. And I watch Mary and Max almost daily to get a good cry.
13. I find nothing wrong with chain restaurants once in awhile, and people who do are pretty snobbish. I've had some great times and great meals at Chevy's. Sue me.
14. Some of my best girlfriends live in Canada and England, and when we talk, it's as though no time has passed.
15. I want to live on a big piece of land someday where I can just garden and have chickens.
16. I have a dog who lives at my parents' house and we somehow have this very wonderful bond although we only lived together for a very short time.
17. As much as I love my nieces and nephews, I don't see children in my own personal future.
18. I read all the time, but would rather borrow books from the library than keep them. I also give so many books away to share with people that you won't find too many books adorning my little apartment. But that doesn't mean I don't read.
19. I would hike every weekend if I could, but I don't like to do it alone, and sometimes it's hard to find partners.
20. I get very frustrated when I can't change the things that I want changed. And I'm learning patience, but my mom always said that I wasn't a very patient child. I believe we can change if we truly want to change. When I'm frustrated I go for a walk, or take a long drive.
21. I love my apartment right now, because it's my own and it's the first apartment I've ever had on my own, but I do want to live with someone one day and think I'd make a very good wife, I just haven't yet found the guy who can handle/deserve me.
22. I love shooting guns. There. I said it.
23.If someone gave me a bunch of money, I’d help my parents first, because my dad works too hard for someone his age. And I'd try and help them renovate their house, which needs it. Other than that, I'd probably help my friends because I know some of them are really struggling right now.
24. I find my job fulfilling, but I know it's just a job, and I know I'm destined for something greater someday. This works for today.
25. I love the freedom of working from home, but I get a little bit lonely some days.
I am not long-winded and can't stand people who are. Please use five words to say five words worth of material, unless you say it beautifully, and I like to listen to everything you say.
